Hanford Dixon, born December 25, 1958, is a former professional Cornerback who played his entire career (1981–1989) for the Cleveland Browns. Dixon made the Pro Bowl three times, in 1986, 1987 and 1988. He was drafted by the Browns out of the University of Southern Mississippi with the 22nd pick in the first round of the 1981 NFL Draft.
He is also accredited with the naming "Dawg Pound." The section of old Municipal stadium known for their antics during Browns home games. Inspired by Dixon's "barking" to teammates during Browns practice at Lakeland College.
Hanford Dixon, and fellow Cornerback Frank Minnifield, were selected by NFL.com as the No. 2 "Best Cornerback Tandem of All-Time." Although, many former NFL players and coaches would place them at No. 1.
Monday night, December 14th, Hanford Dixon will be available for a pregame "Meet and Greet" from 7:00 pm to 8:00 for autographs and pictures. 8 x 10's will be available for GCBB members and fans for signature. Each GCBB member will get one "FREE" autographed 8" x 10". Members and nonmembers can purchase additional copies for each $10 donation.

At 8:15, Hanford will join us in watching the Browns vs the Ratbirds on Monday Night Football.
